Thinking in their shoes

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.  -kjv Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.  -nkjv So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.  -niv Meditations: 1) Sometimes we react to others according to how we feel. Though that is honesty to others and ourselves and being frank about it, it can be brutal to others. 2) Sometimes we do not know how to react to others in their situation because we have never been in their situation before. We might act according to what we think we should do but it might still hurt the other party. 3) I heard over a radio broadcast that in this digital age, children occupying their free time with computer games and all sorts of digital media are actually altering their brain structure.  They are less likely to and also not able to think in the shoes of others - less empathy. 4) As christians, we are required to think in others shoes as shown in this verse. The motivation should always be love. It is not easy to love because christian love is supernatural.
