Luke 16:22 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;  -kjv 22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.  -nkjv 22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.  -niv Meditations: 1) In this account, the beggar Lazarus died and was carried to Jesus's presence. Abraham's bosom is another term of being in the presence of Jesus or heaven. 2) The angels carried Lazarus to the presence of Jesus. In a similar way, when we die, we entrust our soul to be carried to Jesus's presence by the angels. We do not need to know the way to heaven, the angels will carry our soul there. 3) Cross reference to 2 Corinthians 5:8: 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. -kjv When we are absent from the body, we will be present with the Lord.
